Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview: Powered By Elite Communications

After playing their last three games at home, the Bombers head out on the road for the next four games on the road. The Bombers will begin a four games in five nights road trip beginning on Wednesday night in Yorkton.

This will be the 5th meeting of the season with the season series tied at two. The Terriers currently sit ten points back of the 8th place Weyburn Red Wings for the final playoff spot and are 2-7-0-1 in their previous ten games.

On Thursday the Bombers will then travel to Weyburn. The Bombers and Red Wings have played each other just twice so far this season with the Bombers winning both games. Weyburn is currently on an eight game point streak and have been the hottest team in the SJHL since returning from Christmas.

The third game of the road trip will see the Bombers and Estevan Bruins return to action after just facing each other last weekend in Flin Flon. The Bombers defeated the Bruins both games 5-1 and 3-1 but haven’t won on the road in Estevan since November, 29th of 2019. Bruins goaltender Cam Hrdlicka currently leads all SJHL netminders with five shutouts and was stellar in both games in Flin Flon.

The road trip sees the Bombers finish off in Wilcox to take on the Notre Dame Hounds. The Hounds are eight points outside of a playoff spot but they do have three games in hand on Weyburn. Hounds captain Jared Sych leads all SJHL defencemen in goals with ten and sits 5th in SJHL defencemen scoring with 30 points (10G-20A) in 34 games.
