Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview: Powered By Elite Communications

The Flin Flon Bombers get set for a busy week with four road games beginning tomorrow night in Nipawin.

This will be the third game of the season between the Bombers and Hawks with the season series tied at 1-1. The Hawks currently sit in last place in the Sherwood Division but are in 8th place in the overall standings. Hawks captain Maguire Ratzlaff is off to a hot start to the season with 16 goals in just 20 games.

The Bombers will then travel to North Battleford to take on the number one ranked team in the CJHL. The North Stars have yet to lose a game in regulation with a very impressive 18-0-2-1 record. The top line of Holden Doell, Jake Southgate and Kian Bell have a combined 98 points so far this season. North Stars defenceman Tynan Ewart sits in second place in SJHL defencemen scoring with 20 points (4 G, 16 A) in 21 games. North Stars goaltender Josh Kotai has a league best 13 wins, 1.88 GAA and .942 SV%.

After the pair of games against the North Stars, the Bombers will finish their road trip with a Sunday afternoon game against Humboldt. The Bombers and Broncos have faced off just once this season with the Broncos winning 2-1 in a shootout back on October 2nd. The Broncos immediately got off to a strong start winning their first 8 games but currently find themselves 5-5 in their last 10 games. Humboldt’s 83 goals scored is the 3rd highest among all SJHL clubs.
