Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview March 10 – March 16, Powered by Elite Communications

This is your Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview Powered by Elite Communications.

After defeating the Battlefords North Stars twice on the weekend and clinching second place, the Bombers return to action tomorrow night in Nipawin before completing the regular season with a pair of games against La Ronge.

Despite sitting in 11th place, the Hawks are one of the SJHL’s hottest teams going 7-3-0-0 in their previous ten games. Nipawin went 1-1 last week, snapping Melville’s eleven game winning streak before falling to Melfort 5-2. Hawks forwards Mason Karakochuk and Eric Hoiness have led the way offensively with twelve and eleven points each in their last eight games. Hawks goaltender Gage Roberts is 5-1-0-0 in his last six starts.

With three regular season games remaining, the Ice Wolves sit five points back of the Kindersley Klippers for the final playoff spot. La Ronge dropped a heartbreaker yesterday giving up a 2-0 lead on Melfort before dropping a 5-3 decision. In order for the Ice Wolves to make the playoffs, they will need to win their remaining games and Kindersley will need to drop their final two games of the season.
