The Bombers will look to get back on track when the Nipawin Hawks visit the Whitney Forum on Wednesday night. Nipawin is coming off two hard fought battles against the Battlefords North Stars, dropping both games 4-2 and 4-3 in overtime. The Bombers returned to action with a 10-4 win in La Ronge before dropping a 5-4 overtime decision the next night. The Bombers lead the season series over Nipawin 5-0.
The Bombers then travel to Humboldt to take on the Broncos on Saturday and Sunday. The two teams have not faced off since the Broncos visited the Whitney Forum back in October when both teams split the weekend series. Ahead of the CJHL’s January 10th trade deadline, the Broncos made a splash acquiring SJHL veteran goaltender, Dazza Mitchell from the Weyburn Red Wings in exchange for goaltender Ty Matonovich and forward Josh Sale. Mitchell nearly knocked off the Broncos last spring during the 2024 SJHL Quarter-Final when Weyburn took Humboldt to game 7.
Humboldt currently sits in 8th place with a 15-15-2-0 record.
