Flin Flon Bomber Alumni Drew Kuzma has been announced as team captain for Lindenwood University.
Kuzma spent half of the 2021-22 season on the Bombers after a trade seen him shift from Weyburn to Flin Flon. Kuzma was electric in the games he played for the Bombers including a monster playoff performance which helped the Bombers come to within one game of a championship. In 26 regular season games with the Bombers, Kuzma put up 10 goals, 14 assists for 24 points. In 18 playoff games, he notched 17 points. Drew is entering his 4th season with the Lions.
Head Coach/GM Mike Reagan had this to say following the announcement today
“We are very pleased and not surprised to hear of Kuz being named the captain of Lindenwood. During his time in Flin Flon it was clear that he not only led with his play on the ice but the way he carried himself off the ice as well. We couldn’t be happier for Drew.”
Drew joins a select group of former Bombers to be named captain at their respective D1 Schools. That list includes
Tommy Castonguay – Sacred Heart
Joel Kocur – AIC
Alex Smith – Northern Michigan
Michael Young – Nebraska
Congratulations to Drew Kuzma on being named team captain!
