GAME 6 SUNDAY IN FLIN FLON-PUCK DROP 7:30 PM LOCAL

TIME TO GET UP-TIME TO GET LOUD- TIME TO PACK THE WHITNEY FORUM

For the fourth time in five games, it took overtime to settle the score between the Flin Flon Bombers and the Battleford North Stars.

Just over 8 minutes into the third overtime period, Flin Flon Bomber Captain Nate Hooper would end the evening.

Brandson Hein and Nate Hooper would force a turnover just inside of the Battleford line and shuffle a pass over to Cade Kowalski. Kowalski was able to regain control of the puck after it appeared the Battleford defender would get enough stick on the puck to break up the play. On a nifty move to the backhand, he set up the game winner, when Nate Hooper would shovel the loose puck past the Battleford net-minder.

That was not Nate Hoopers first act of heroics on this night, as with just 28 seconds left in the third frame, and with an empty net, the Bomber captain was able to tie the game and force overtime.

Isaac Jackson and Brandson Hein had the other Bomber goals. The four goals scored was the most in any game of the series for either team.

The series will now shift to Flin Flon on Sunday for game 6. Tickets will be available at the door if you haven’t already purchased them from the store.

Attendance in Battleford was 1435 people, let’s get out and support this team over the finish line.

LET PACK THE WHITNEY!!!
