Bruins forward Olivier Pouliot scored at 12:13 of overtime to give the Estevan Bruins a 3-2 victory Saturday night over the Flin Flon Bombers and a 3-2 series lead in the SJHL Final.
Jaeden Mercier opened the scoring with a power play marker for the Bombers at 13:47 of the first period. The Bombers would extend their lead to 2-0 with a power play marker from captain Zak Smith. The Bruins would cut the deficit to one with a goal from Eric Pearce. Bruins defenceman Nolan Jones would score with less than 6 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime.
The Bruins outshot the Bombers 51-35 in the contest
Game 6 goes Tuesday night at the Whitney Forum
If necessary, Game 7 will take place back in Estevan on Friday, May 6th.
