Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

The Bombers had a quiet week this past week playing only the one game, which resulted in a 7-3 loss in Melfort.

The team played a solid road period in the first but trailed 2-1 with Jaxon Martens scoring the lone goal for the Bombers. The Bombers got themselves in penalty trouble in the second and third periods and gave up 5 power play goals in the game. Defenceman Xavier Lapointe scored his 6th goal of the season which leads all SJHL defencemen. Rookie forward Matt Egan scored his 1st career SJHL goal late in the third period. Goaltender Max Hildebrand made 31 saves on 37 shots on net.

Bombers forward Matt Raymond will be back in Flin Flon this week after recovering from an injury he sustained during pre-season.

The Bombers are currently in 1st place in the Sherwood Division with Melfort trailing them by a single point.
