Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

It wasn’t pretty but the Bombers were able to go 2-1 last week with wins over the Nipawin Hawks and Weyburn Red Wings.

On Tuesday night the Bombers were in Nipawin to take on the Hawks and we came away with a big 3-2 win in a tough building. Forward Matt Raymond scored the game winning goal with less than 7 minute left in regulation. Jacob Vockler and Mackenzie Carson were the other Bomber goal scorers. After missing the first two and a half months of the season, Carson now has 3 goals in his first 6 games. The Bombers held the Hawks to just 21 shots in the contest.

Friday night was a night the Bombers would like to forget as the Red Wings came away with a 5-2 win for their 8th victory of the season. Forwards Cole Duperreault and Jaxon Martens had multipoint games in the loss. Red Wings goaltender, Boston Gelowitz was named 1st star after making 42 saves.
