The annual SJHL Showcase begins today in Warman, Saskatchewan at the Legends Centre.
The Bombers will take on the Yorkton Terriers tonight at 7:30 and then wrapping up the showcase with a show down against the Kindersley Klippers tomorrow afternoon at 1:30. This is the first of 3 straight games for the Bombers against the Klippers. The Bombers will be hosting Kindersley this upcoming weekend for a pair of games. Former Bomber and current Klippers defenceman Jack Michell will return to Flin Flon for the first time since getting traded to Kindersley in the summer of 2020.
The Terriers are currently 1-4 and sit in 2nd place in the Viterra Division. Goaltender Jacob Herman was a late cut for the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos and he will most likely see a bulk of the action this season. Rookie forward Clay Sleeva is off to a hot start to his SJHL career, producing 5 points in 5 games.
Since adding Max Hildebrand, the Bombers have moved goaltender Jared Thompson to the Melville Millionaires in exchange for a player development fee.
