The Bombers will get set for a pair of home games against the Battlefords North Stars this weekend at the Whitney Forum.
The Bombers and North Stars have yet to play each other this season. The North Stars currently sit in 5th place in the SJHL standings and trail the Bombers by just 6 points with 3 games in hand. Battlefords is led up front by Jake Southgate who currently leads the team in scoring with 43 points (19g, 24a) in 40 games. Forward Holden Doell, the younger brother of Melfort Mustang Nolan Doell, is a strong candidate for SJHL Rookie of the Year.
Battlefords currently has the 2nd best power play in the SJHL with 23.5%, meanwhile the Bombers lead the SJHL with 24.1%
North Stars Assistant Coach and former Bombers Assistant Coach & Assistant General Manager, Garry Childerhose, will be making his return to the Whitney Forum. Childerhose spent 5 seasons with the Bombers from 2014-2019.
