Bombers To Face Broncos In Second Round Of 2023 SJHL Playoffs

The Flin Flon Bombers and Humboldt Broncos will meet in the SJHL playoffs once again. This marks the third straight meeting since the 2020 SJHL Playoffs where the Bombers swept the Broncos four games to none. The two teams met in last years SJHL Semi-Final with the Bombers also coming out on top in five games.

The Broncos will have home ice advantage after finishing the regular season in second place with a 40-15-1-0 record. The Bombers finished in third place posting a 37-15-2-2 record. Humboldt won the season series four games to two.

The series will feature seven players with NCAA Division I scholarships. Bomber forwards Cole Duperreault (Lindenwood), Jaeden Mercier (Lindenwood), Jeremi Tremblay (Sacred Heart) and Jacob Vockler (Merrimack). Ethan Zielke (Lindenwood), Matthew Van Blaricom (Michigan Tech) and Carsten Kayter (Nebraska Omaha) are all commited to NCAA Division I programs.
