The Flin Flon Bombers will return to the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon up one game in the best of three SJHL survivors series.

There were seven different goal scorers for the Bombers, including Cade Kowalski, who opened the scoring just 2:17 into the game. Kowalski would also add an assist.

Daylan Marchi (1g-2a) finished with a three point night, while Vincent Nardone, Ryder Richmond and Nate Hooper all had a goal and an assist.  Mason Martin and Alec Cokley also added goals.  Cokely scored one regular season goal and it came in Game 54 of 55 for him, last Saturday in La Ronge.  He wasted no time potting his first playoff goal, scoring short-handed late in the first period of Game 1.  Gabriel Waked made 24/27 saves in the win.

Weyburn’s Jacob Piller scored three times in the second period, the last two coming just 42 seconds apart.  Drew Anderson and former Bomber (traded for Kowalski) Dawson McKenzie each added two assists.

The Wings and Bombers will square off again on Sunday for game 2. Puck Drop will go at 7:30pm local, 6:30pm SK time.

Remember time change occurs this weekend, our clocks will be set an hour ahead!
