Bombers Pull Even In Series With 7-1 Win: Powered By Hudbay

The Flin Flon Bombers broke out to a 2-0 lead en route to delivering a 7-1 victory over the Estevan Bruins in Game 4 of their SJHL Final Playoff Series Wednesday night at the Whitney Forum.

Zak Smith and Jaeden Mercier led the Bombers offensively with 3 points each. Meanwhile Jaxon Martens and Ethan Anstey chipped in for their first career SJHL playoff goals. Bruins forward Eric Pearce was the lone goal scorer for Estevan.

Game 3 on Tuesday night was a closer contest with the Bombers winning 4-3 to get themselves back into the series. With the game tied 3-3, Bombers forward Brett Wieschorster would break the tie with just 58 seconds remaining to give the Bombers the win.

The best-of-seven series, deadlocked at 2-2, resumes at 7 p.m. Saturday at Estevan’s Affinity Place in Estevan.

Game 6 is on Tuesday, May 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in Flin Flon. A seventh and deciding Game 7, if needed, is Friday, May 6th in Estevan.
