October Recap

The month of October has come and gone and it was a busy one for the maroon and white.

The month included only two home games and eight road games. The home games occurred Oct 3 and Oct 4 vs Warman. Both of which resulted in Bomber victories, at the time improving their overall record to 6-0-0-0.

What followed was an eight game road swing which resulted in the Bombers going on a six game losing skid, with the Bombers being outscored 12-27. A weekend split with a 11-0 victory in Yorkton and a 4-3 shootout loss in Humboldt ended the month of October for the Bombers.

The Bombers made one trade in the month of October. On October 17th The Flin Flon Bombers traded defenseman Benett Leibel along with a 5th round draft selection in the 2010 born draft to the Warman Wolverines in exchange for a player development fee and a 3rd round draft selection in the 2010 born draft.

Leibel was a 2nd round pick in the 2023 U16 draft. Leibel, suited up in 7 total games over the past two seasons, totaling 1 goal and 1 assist.

The current roster as of November 3rd sits at 15 forwards, 10 defenseman and 2 goalies.

The Bombers are hoping the following months bring some better fortunes their way as the Whitney Forum will get to host more action. Starting November 1st when Nipawin comes to town. The Bombers will play 6 more homes games in November and 4 more on the road.
