Bombers make a pair of Trades

The Flin Flon Bombers have announced two trades in the span of two days, making deals with the Northern Manitoba Blizzard of the MJHL, and the Warman Wolverines of the SJHL.

On December 1st, the team announced that they have traded defenseman Jared Bigelow to the Warman Wolverines in exchange for a Player Development Fee.

On December 2nd, the team announced that they have traded goaltender Matt Bradley to the Northern Manitoba Blizzard in exchange for a Player Development Fee.

Bigelow, was signed out of the PIJHL during the offseason and unfortunately did not suit up in a regular season game with the Maroon and White due to injuries.

Bradley was signed during the offseason and won the teams backup goalie position out of camp. Bradley posted 4 wins in 6 games with a save percentage of .896.

HC/GM Mike Reagan commented on the Bigelow trade:

“It’s unfortunate that Bigs got hurt in exhibition and we couldn’t fully see what he was capable of.
We would like to thank Jared for his time as a Bomber and wish him all the best in Warman.”

He also said:

“Brads is a good young goalie with the potential to be a starter in the future. With us carrying 3 goalies we felt it would be difficult to get him the games he needs to develop. We wish him all the best.”

The current roster sits at 15 forwards, 9 defenseman and 2 goalies.
