Cade Kowalski would score his biggest goal as a Flin Flon Bomber midway through the third period in front of 1201 electric fans in the Whitney Forum.

Kowalski wired a puck high over the Battleford goalie on the late power play, and Daylan Marchi would seal the deal with 11 seconds left in the period to force a deciding game seven show down in Battleford Tuesday night.

Alex Cockley opened the scoring for Flin Flon in the first period to tie the game up, and Caleb Franklin would get the Bombers second goal with just under two minutes to go in the first to send the Bombers to the dressing room with a 2-1 lead.

Just 15 seconds into the 2nd frame, Battleford scored on a lucky bounce in the slot to knot the game up. Then a little over a minute later they were once again able to capture the lead.

Jack Michell had other plans and would rip his first SJHL playoff goal past the Battleford net-minder to square things up. However Battlefords was able to sneak another past Bomber goalie Gabriel Waked to make it 4-3 Battleford heading into the 3rd.

Six minutes into the third Caleb Moretz capitalized on a huge individual effort by Donovan Houle-Villeneue who split the two Battleford d-men, allowing Moretz to sneak in alone and blow one by Joel Gryzbowski.

Then on a late Bomber player play, Cade Kowalski would be tonights hero.

Gabriel Waked was stellar, stopping 28/32 shots faced.

Game seven goes Tuesday in Battleford. The Unwinder in The Victoria Inn  Flin Flon will have all the action on the big screen, as well as Rob Hart’s call on 102.9 CFAR flinflononline.com broadcast.

Puck drop will be 8:30pm Flin Flon time.
