Bombers Bolster Blue Line With Addition Of Rylan Thiessen

The Flin Flon Bombers are excited to announce that WHL veteran defenceman Rylan Thiessen (01) has joined the team. Thiessen had spent the last 3 seasons in the WHL with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Brandon Wheat Kings and most recently the Swift Current Broncos. In 78 career WHL games, Thiessen produced 19 points (1g, 18a). Last season Thiessen helped the Brandon Wheat Kings win the 2021 Subway Cup.

Prior to beginning his WHL career, Thiessen spent 2 seasons with the U18 AAA Brandon Wheat Kings program and was named the 2019 Playoff MVP after posting 19 points (5g, 14a) in 11 games to help guide the Wheat Kings to it’s first league championship since 2007.

Thiessen appeared in 2 games with the Bombers during the 2020-2021 season as a WHL loan and chipped in with an assist.
