Gabriel Waked (St-Bruno-de-Montarville, PQ), stopped 19/20 shots, while Nate Hooper (Winnipeg, MB) had 2 goals and an assists, and Brandson Hein (Winnipeg, MB), had a goal and 2 assists, paving the way for the Flin Flon Bombers win over the visiting Melfort Mustangs.
Veteran Calvon Boots (Fairbanks, AK), made his return to the line-up after missing February due to injury. His presence was immediate, and further drove the play in Flin Flon’s favor Tuesday night.
With the win, coupled by the Melville Millionaires loss, Flin Flon will now travel to Weyburn on Friday to begin the best-of-three Wild Card series against the Red Wings.
Game two will go Sunday, and should a game three be required, it would be Monday in Flin Flon. Puck Drops will be 7:30pm for all games.
Tickets for the Wild Card series will be announced as soon as details are finalized.

Flin Flon is a perfect 4-0 on Weyburn this season, while the last game in Weyburn being decided in OT, Flin Flon has beaten Weyburn by 3 goals or more in the other meetings.
There have been heated rivalries between the two clubs in the past, both in the playoffs and regular season, despite the vast distance between the two Cities. This should be the better of the two Wild Card series.
