The Flin Flon Bombers have announced their leadership group for the 2022-2023 season.

Returning Defenseman Lucas Fry has been named team captain for the club. During the 2021-2022 season, Fry chipped in with 4 assists in 42 regular season games and appeared in all 18 playoff games last season. Fry finished in the top 5 among all Bomber players in hits and blocked shots.

Forwards Jaeden Mercier and Cole Duperreault have been named alternate captains. Mercier returns for his 4th season as a Bomber and is expected to be one of the top point producers in the SJHL. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan product had a breakout season last year, finishing the regular season with 44 points (18g, 26a) in 39 games. Mercier had 14 points (7g, 7a) in 17 playoff games last spring and also produced 6 points (2g, 4a) in 5 games at the Centennial Cup in Estevan.

Duperreault will be relied on heavily this season offensively. The former SMAAAHL All-Star, Duperreault had 39 points (18g, 21) in 56 regular season games last season. Cole has gotten off to a hot start this season with 4 goals in just 2 games.
