With the 24th pick in the 2nd round of the ‘09 2024 SJHL Draft, The Flin Flon Bombers selected Carter Schmidt (D) from the Regina Aces U15 (SAAHL). Schmidt played in 26 games last season, notching 7 goals and 13 assists for 20 points. Carter’s dad, Jason Schmidt, also played with the Bombers from 1998 to 2001.
With the 6th pick in the 1st round of the ‘08 2024 SJHL Draft, The Flin Flon Bombers selected Wade Franks (D) from the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 (SMAAAHL). With the Warriors last season, Franks put up 5 goals and 7 assists for 12 points in 38 games.
With the 29th pick in the 3rd round of the ‘08 2024 SJHL Draft, The Flin Flon Bombers selected Kale Spencer (F) from the Saskatoon Crunch U18/Saskatoon Blazers U18 (SAAHL/SMAAHL). Last season, Kale had 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points in 33 games for the Crunch.
With the 48th pick in the 4th round of the ‘08 2024 SJHL Draft, The Flin Flon Bombers selected James Norman (D) from the Indigenous Sports Academy U17 (CSSHL). With the ISA last season, James played in 28 games, grabbing 1 goal and 5 assists for 6 points.
With the 60th pick in the 5th round of the ‘08 2024 SJHL Draft, The Flin Flon Bombers selected Jaden Blanchette (G) from West Central Wheat Kings U18 (SAAHL). Jaden held a 3.32 GAA and .910 SV% through 17 games last season.
