The Flin Flon Bombers are happy to announce the signing of ’06 Forward, Rhett Ewen, from the Saskatoon Contacts U18 AAA of the SMAAAHL.
Ewen has played the past two seasons with the Contacts and prior to that, in 2021/22, he played for the Saskatoon Riverkings AA, where he put up 14 goals and 9 assists for 23 points in 24 games. While with the Riverkings, the Saskatoon product was also draft in the 6th round of the WHL Draft to the Edmonton Oil Kings. This past season with the Contacts, Ewen lead his team in points with 33 (10 goals and 23 assists) in 38 games. Standing at 6’2, the left shooting forward will bring a physical presence and strong work ethic to the Bombers along with great play making ability and a solid shot.
The Bombers can’t wait to see Rhett on the ice this season and welcome him and his family to Flin Flon!
