The Flin Flon Junior Bombers, in conjunction with the City of Flin Flon, have created a charitable donation program. This program allows members of the community, alumni and Bomber fans everywhere, the ability to donate funds that will continue the legacy.

We are grateful for the donations received so far.

Presently our team and community are thriving. Fan support remains high and the calibre of hockey hasn’t been this entertaining in years. The last few season leading up to now have been extremely tough for the Club, both on and off the ice.

A large debt in the excess of $100,000 was incurred over this period this is a debt load we are presently forced to carry long term. This debt acts as a millstone around the teams’ neck and, given the Club’s mandate to operate on a break-even basis, will remain so for many years to come unless we choose to do something about it.

Through the charitable donation program, we are asking for your contribution to pay down this debt. For each donation of $100 or more, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt from the City.

To acknowledge those who donate and also to track progress towards our goal, a large Bomber Burst will be created out of 1,000 puzzle pieces. For every $100 donation, a puzzle piece will be placed in Burst in that fan’s name. Once the campaign is completed, the Bomber Burst will be put on display in the Whitney Forum.

The target is to receive donations totaling a minimum of $100,000 and ideally exceed that amount with the spillover going into a war chest for future years’ operations.

Our goal is to become financially secure so we can concentrate on the task at hand, which is to provide entertaining and competitive hockey that ultimately brings the cup home to Flin Flon.

Please support your team in its war on our debt.

Cheques may be made payable to the City of Flin Flon c/o Flin Flon Junior Bombers. For more information call the Bomber Office at 204-687-4404.
