Bombers allow seven goals for the second straight game, dropping 7-2 decision to visiting Red Wings.

Despite opening the game with two goals, the Flin Flon Bombers allowed seven straight goals, dropping their second in a row, 7-2 to the Weyburn Red Wings, allowing 14 goals in the process.

Rob Johnson (Kamloops, BC) would open up the scoring on the power play just two minutes in.  Chrystopher Collin (Bois De Filion, QC) and Nate Hooper (Winnipeg, MB) each picked up a helper on Johnson’s third goal, and fifth point, in four games since being acquired from the Lloydminster Bobcats.

Hooper then picked up his fifth of the season just before the midway point of the first from Johnson and defenseman Calvon Boots (Fairbanks, AK).

Weyburn would reply with two, 12 seconds apart, to end the first, then added three in the second and two more in the third.

Flin Flon (8-12-1-3) continues to sit third in the Sherwood Division, 17 points behind the Nipawin Hawks, and in the 10th and final playoff spot, two points behind the Melville Millionaires with five games in hand.

Next up are those second place Nipawin Hawks when they face off at the Whitney Forum on Saturday night.

ICE CHIPS:  The Bombers were 1 for 5 on the power play with the Red Wings going 2 for 5.  ---  Flin Flon added defenseman Alex Lindstrom and goaltender Colten Lancaster in trades prior to the December 1st roster cut down day.  Coach Mike Reagan is hoping both will be in the lineup against the Hawks on Saturday.  ---  Other roster moves have forward Chrystopher Collin missing the next few game guaranteed as he travels to Calgary December 2-5 for Canada West camp.  This means he’ll miss at least the home and home series against the Hawks.  ---  2000 born defenseman Jaxon White (Warman, SK) made his Flin Flon regular season debut in an emergency call up.  White plays for the Beardy's Blackhawks of the SMAAAHL and was a 2015 second round pick of the Bombers.  White wore #41.  ---  After the December 1 deadline, where teams have to cut down to 25 carded players, the CJHL will have a December 10th roster freeze over the Christmas seasons.  Teams can then start trades/moves starting January 1st until the January 10th Trade Deadline.
