Flin Flon picks up 1998 born forward Rob Johnson from the Lloydminster Bobcats of the AJHL.

The Flin Flon Bombers are pleased to announce the acquisition of 1998 born forward Rob Johnson (Kamloops, BC) from the Lloydminster Bobcats.

The Bombers trade a Player Development Fee to the Bobcats.

Johnson is in his fourth year of junior hockey and has 57 points (13g, 44a) in 139 games split between the Trail Smoke Eaters and Surrey Eagles of the BCHL and the Whitcourt Wolverines and Bobcats in the AJHL.

"We're really excited to get a player with the upside that Rob has," said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.

Johnson is committed to Air Force Academy for the 2018-19 season.

"We think that Johnson has the same upside that we saw in Switzer, Reitmeier and Kocur when we picked them up," added Reagan.  "And like them, we think it's just a change of scenery that will help out."

Johnson had his best season last year when he had 34 points (9g, 25a) over 59 games.  This year he has 6 points (3g, 3a) in 19 games with the Bobcats.
