Two goals in the first were enough for the Bombers to take Game 5 and win their best of seven series 4-1.

All the offense was generated in the first period as Flin Flon scored two to the Notre Dame Hounds one, holding on to win Game 5 and the best of seven SJHL Quarter Final series 4-1.

Brody Madarash (Martensville, SK) opened the scoring 4:54 into the first and Greyson Reitmeier (Nakusp, BC) scored the game winner just four minutes later.

The Hounds Ben Duperrault scored the long marker against Bomber goalie Zac Robidoux before the end of the period.  Robidoux would make 20 saves overall for his fourth win of the playoffs.

The Bombers outshot the Hounds 41-21 but besides the two goals in the first, were unable to beat Notre Dame’s Benjamin Patt.

The Bombers will now take on divisional rivals, the Nipawin Hawks, starting with Game 1 on Friday night at the Whitney Forum.
