Flin Flon picks up three of four points against the Yorkton Terriers on Friday and Saturday. Eric Sinclair picks up

The Flin Flon Bombers hit the road for a pair of games this past weekend against the Yorkton Terriers, looking to bridge the gap between them in the SJHL playoff race.

Currently sitting second in the SJHL, first in the Sherwood Division, the Bombers took three of four points to continue their streak of points in nine straight games.

On Friday night, the Bombers scored two late in the third period to extend the game to extra time, but were unable to score in a shootout, dropping a 5-4 loss to the Terriers.

Greyson Reitmeier (Nakusp, BC) picked up a pair of goals in the second period with Kristian St. Onge (Saskatoon, SK) and Nate Hooper (Winnipeg, MB)  rounding out the scoring.

It was the team’s first loss since December 16th when they were edged 3-2 in North Battleford.

The next afternoon Jordan McCausland (Brandon, MB) scored two goals and including the eventual game winner and Nick Shumlanski (Tisdale, SK) and Reitmeier each picked up a single, as the Bombers beat Yorkton 4-1.

The team returns to the Whitney Forum tomorrow night with a matchup against the Melfort Mustangs.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Eric Sinclair (Kenora, SK) picked up the IBAS SJHL Defenseman of the Week for the second time this season.

Sinclair picked up four points (4a) in the two games on the weekend, helping set up the tying goal on Friday.

On the season, he has 35 points (9g, 26a) in 31 games.
