Flin Flon 2-0 To Start Pre Season

The Flin Flon Bombers are 2-0 to start off the pre season schedule after a 4-3 come from behind victory Sunday night against the Nipawin Hawks.

The Bombers opened up a shorten version of camp this past Thursday night with the team’s annual Maroon vs White intrasquad game on Friday night.

The pre season schedule started on Saturday when they traveled to Nipawin to take on the Hawks in a game of mostly rookies.

1999 born defenseman Keegan Randall (Saskatoon , SK) scored with :42 seconds left in the game and 1998 born Brody Madarash had a hat trick to lift the Bombers over the Hawks 5-4.

The two teams returned to Flin Flon the next night and after being down 2-0 after the first, and 3-0 after the second, the Bombers would score four unanswered in the third to take a 4-3 win.

Dondre Watson (Calgary, AB) led the way with a goal and an assist with Braden Lacoursiere (Unity, SK), Rylee Zimmer (Russell, MB) and Brandon Lesko (Hafford, SK) rounding out the scoring.

The Bombers will take on the OCN Blizzard of the MJHL in a home and home starting tonight in The Pas before hosting the Blizzard on Friday.
