Recently signed prospects from Winnipeg, teammates Nate Hooper and Brandson Hein

Starting June 1, all SJHL teams are able to sign prospects to a standard card for the upcoming season.  In the next few weeks, bombers.ca will spotlight a few prospects that Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan has committed to for the 2016-17 season.

Nate Hooper – Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeg Thrashers

6’3, 170 pound Nate Hooper had a very successful season with the Winnipeg Trashers of the MAAAMHL.  He led the team in scoring, 4th overall in the MAAAMHL, with 57 points (19g, 38a) in 43 games.  Hooper would add another 8 points (2g, 6a) in 6 playoff games.

Brandson Hein – Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeg Thrashers

Brandson Hein is a 6’1, 170 pound forward who spent last season with the Winnipeg Trashers of the MAAAMHL.  Last season he scored 48 points (23g, 25a) in 33 games with the Trashers and added another 8 points (2g, 6a) in 6 playoff games.

“We’re really excited to get these two guys,” commented Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.  “Both guys put up great numbers in Midget last year.  We’re very excited to add two good skilled, good sized forwards that can contribute on the score sheet.  We’re looking at them to do what Shums (Nick Shumlanski) and Lesko (Brandon Lesko) did last season.”
