The league recognizes Rylee Zimmer's heroics in Game 5 and Roach's continued strong play on the backend.

The Flin Flon Bombers are moving on to the SJHL Finals for the first time in 23 years with their double overtime victory on Saturday night.  In the madness, a pair of players picked up SJHL Weekly Honors in helping the club.

To say Rylee Zimmer (Russell, MB) was instrumental in the series clinching win would be an understatement.  Zimmer had three points (2g, 1a) in the win, one tied the game to send it to overtime and the other was the OT winner, and for that he has been named the Canalta Hotels SJHL Player of the Week.

In the post season Zimmer has five points (3g, 2a) with his other goal coming in game four in the Bombers 5-2 home win.

On the backend, Curtis Roach’s (Saskatoon, SK) incredible play continued and for that he has been named back to back winner of the IBAS SJHL Defenseman of the Week.

Roach had a helper in the win on Saturday in North Battleford but his best of the week came on Wednesday at the Whitney Forum when he had three points (2g, 1a) in the game four win.  In 10 playoff games this season, Roach had 8 points (3g, 5a), good enough for third on the team.
