For the second time this season, Zac Robidoux recorded back to back shutouts for his 19th win of the season as the Bombers edged the Ice Wolves 3-0.

Zac Robidoux (Winnipeg, MB) wasn’t as busy as his counterpart last night, but the 1996 born goaltender was perfect on all 25 Ice Wolves shots he faced, as he collected his second straight shutout, helping the Bombers blank La Ronge 3-0, moving to within one point of the fourth place Nipawin Hawks.

Robidoux improved his record to 19-11-0-3 with a 2.58 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.925 to go along with five shutouts, the most for a Flin Flon Bomber goalie since Dan Dennis in 1992-93.

Mason Etter (Cedarburg, WI), playing up front, would open the scoring late in the first period.  After taking a cross ice feed Etter snapped a low glove shot from the top of the faceoff circle, beating La Ronge starter Kris Joyce for his fifth of the season.

Greyson Reitmeier (Nakusp, BC) and Braden Lacoursiere (Unity, SK) each picked up assists.

Tyson Empey (Swift Current, SK) would put the team up 2-0 in the second after a great individual effort for his 14th of the season from Nick Shumlanski (Tisdale, SK).

Alex Smith (Edmonton, AB) rounded out the scoring with his 31st of the season late in the third period, helping the 20 year old move to within two points of league leading Travis Mayan with 82 points.  Joel Kocur (Edson, AB) added the lone assist.

Flin Flon (32-17-0-4) is now one point back of the Hawks for fourth and home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs with the same amount of games played (53).

This is the fourth time Flin Flon has played La Ronge (25-23-3-3) in the past month and will take their rivals on two more times before the end of the season, a home and home series March 4th and 5th.

Flin Flon will now head to North Battleford this weekend for a pair of games against the league leading North Stars starting on Friday.
