Former Flin Flon Bomber goaltender Devin Buffalo (Wetaskiwin, AB) made a big impression with his first career NCAA Division I start this past weekend.
Buffalo, who played for the Bombers from 2011 till 2014, made his first career start for Dartmouth against No. 12 Michigan last Saturday night and made 37 saves, including five in overtime, helping the Big Green to a 1-1 tie.
“It was a big dream come true, honestly,” Buffalo commented to Dartmouth Sports after the game. “If you told me five years ago that I’d be playing college hockey and making my first career start against Michigan, I don’t know if I would’ve believed you.”
The only goal to beat Buffalo came late in the third after a reviewed goal that was initially waved off deemed to have crossed the line.
After sitting his freshman year, Buffalo saw some game action earlier this season when he came in as relief on October 31st against Harvard.
The Big Green play in the ECAC Conference where they sit with a 2-5-1 record.
