Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan has announced that the team has traded 1996 born Connor Slipp (Calgary, AB) to the Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for future considerations.
Slipp has appeared in 6 games over his time with the Bombers compiling a record of 2-2 with a goals against average of 4.78 and a save percentage of 0.847. He split time last season between the Bombers and the Tri Town Thunder of the PJHL.
Stuck in a three goalie carousel since his time with the Bombers, Slipp found himself behind goalies Simon Hofley (Ottawa, ON) and Adam Beukeboom (Sundre, AB) last season and Zac Robidoux (Winnipeg, MB) and Brenden Newton (Medicine Hat, AB) this.
“I have nothing but great things to say about Connor,” said Reagan about Slipp. “We have nothing but the outmost respect for Connor and he was a great guy in the room. It’s hard for us to see a kid like him go.”
Slipp will join a Flyers team that recently lost their starting goalie to an injury. The Flyers are second in the MJHL with an 8-2-1 record.
