The Flin Flon Bombers (1-4-0-2) will look to bounce back after a winless SJHL Showcase in Warman, SK when they entertain the Kindersley Klippers (4-3-0-0) tonight and tomorrow night (Game Time: 7:30 PM, Radio 102.9 CFAR Friday only).
The Bombers lost both games by one goal, 3-2 in a shootout to Weyburn on Monday and 4-3 against Notre Dame on Tuesday. In total the team has lost by one goal in five of their six loses.
The team will look to get back on track against a Klippers team that currently sits tied for third in the Finning Division with the Humboldt Broncos. They are coming off a loss 5-2 loss against Melfort on Wednesday to finish up the Showcase.
They are led offensively by a pair of 1996 forwards, Carson Pickett and Cody Young who lead the team with seven points each.
This weekend will also show the return of 1995 born Austin Calladine to the Whitney Forum. Calladine played in parts of two seasons with the team and before being traded to the Klippers in the offseason.
This weekend also marks the team’s annual Parent’s Weekend with an on ice ceremony happening on Saturday.
After this weekend the team will hit the road for a pair when they travel to Yorkton on Friday and Melville on Saturday.
