The Bombers look to snap their three game skid when they entertain the Broncos tonight.

The Flin Flon Bombers (0-2-0-1) return to the Whitney Forum tonight, looking for their first win of the season when they entertain the Humboldt Broncos (1-1-1-0) (Game Time: 7:30 PM).

Flin Flon held a lead for most of Wednesday’s match up against the Melfort Mustangs in Melfort, but timely undisciplined play lead to the Mustangs scoring two goals in 54 seconds, defeating the Bombers 2-1.

Zac Robidoux (Winnipeg, MB) was solid in the start in Melfort, stopping 23 of 25 shots, helping the Bombers kill 6 of 7 Mustang power plays including a 5 on 3 late in the second period.

The Broncos are fresh off a 6-2 beating at the hands of the surprising upstart Battlefords North Stars on Tuesday night.

They have five different players with a goal each, with Daniel McKitrick leading the way with 3 points (1g, 2a) in the three games played so far.  Third year pro Jarret Fontaine has 2 points (1g, 1a) in two games with the Broncos but wasn’t in the lineup on Tuesday.

This is the lone game for Flin Flon this weekend, they won’t play until  next Saturday, October 3 when they host the North Stars before they go to Warmen, SK, October 5 & 6 for the Annual SJHL Showcase.
