On the eve of opening up their main camp, the Flin Flon Bombers got some good news in that 1998 born forward Brandon Lesko (Hafford, SK) has been assigned by the Calgary Hitmen and will be in town for camp.

“We’re excited for Brandon to be coming to us for the upcoming season,” said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.  “We see Brandon being a bit part of our team.”

Lesko spent the past two seasons with the Battlefords Stars of the SMAAAHL were the 17 year old had 80 points (21g, 33a) in 85 games including 54 points (21g, 33a) in 44 games last season.

He played one game last season with the Bombers, seven days shy of his seventeenth birthday picking up a penalty in a 3-1 Bombers win over Nipawin.

The team’s camp opens up tomorrow with registration at 9:00 am and the first team skating at 10:00 am.  Team games start at 4:00 pm and everything all winds up Friday night at 7:30 with the Maroon vs White game.

Flin Flon then hosts the Nipawin Hawks on Saturday at 7:30 in their first pre season match up.  Full schedule of the weekend can be seen on the main page of bombers.ca.
