Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan has been named to Team West coaching staff for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge.

The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced the coaching staff for Team West in the upcoming World Junior A Challenge and the Flin Flon Bombers are proud to announce that Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan has been named the team’s Assistant Coach.

Reagan has been in some capacity of the Team West for the past three seasons helping with the selection process for players coming out of Saskatchewan and also serving as guest coach at the selection camp in 2014.

“I’m truly honors and excited to be named to Team West,” said Reagan.  “I’ve really enjoyed my time with Hockey Canada during the past three seasons helping with the selection process.”

Reagan is entering his ninth season with the Bombers, compiling an overall record of 243-172, helping guide the team to a Conference Title in 2009-10, and three division finals.

The World Junior A Challenge takes place in Cobourg/Whitby, ON this December.  The team has won the tournament three times since its inception in 2006, appearing in six gold medal games.  They are coming off one of their most disappointing finishes last season, losing in the fifth place game against Switzerland.

Team West opens up the tournament against the Czech Republic on December 13 in Cobourg, ON.
