1994 born Tyler Bell commits to the Cougars for the 2015-16 season.

The Flin Flon Bombers are proud to announce that 1994 born defenseman Tyler Bell (Regina, SK) has committed to the University of Regina Cougars Men’s Ice Hockey Team of the CIS for the 2015-16 season.

Bell came to the Bombers after being released by the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL where he was brought in to add depth and leadership to the blueline.  After 1995 born Tanner Lischynsky  was picked up by the Kootenay Ice of the WHL, Bell really stepped up his play.

He finished the season with 22 points (10g, 12a) in 39 games to go along with 115 penalty minutes.  Bell also added another four points (1g, 3a) in the seven game series about the Notre Dame Hounds in the first round of the playoffs.

Bell was the IBAS SJHL Defenseman of the Week twice and was also the Sherwood Division’s nominee for the IBAS SJHL Defenseman of the Year award.

He also served as the team’s Assistant Captain.

Bell will join Flin Flon native and former Bombers Dillon McCombie with the Cougars this upcoming season.

The University of Regina Cougars play in the Canada West conference of the CIS.
