Flin Flon vs Battlefords Preview

The Bombers look to end their current skid and go into the Christmas break on a winning note aginst the Stars.

The Bombers play their last two games of 2014 starting tonight when they play the Battlefords North Stars.  It’s the first of two against the third place club of the Kramer Division.

Flin Flon (15-7-5-4) is looking to break a six game losing streak after dropping their first two of the current four game road trip, 2-1 in a shootout against La Ronge on Tuesday and 3-2 against Humboldt on Wednesday.

The Bombers haven’t fared well against the Kramer Division, holding a .500 record at 3-3-2 and has lost the only meeting against the Stars this year, 4-3 in overtime back on October 11 at the Whitney Forum. 

Battlefords (17-9-6-0) has points in their last three games, two wins and an overtime loss against Yorkton, but only has four wins in their last 10 games.

They play the Stars against tomorrow night before taking off for Christmas, returning to action back home on January 4 against the league’s hottest team, Kindersley Klippers.
