Flin Flon looks to snap four game losing streak tonight when they start a four game road trip in La Ronge.

It’s not been a very Merry December for the Flin Flon Bombers so far.  Since the calendar turned to the last month of 2014, the team has hit a skid, losing four straight, their longest such streak of the 2014-15 season.  They look to break that streak tonight when they visit La Ronge (Game Time: 7:30 pm) to start a four game in five night trip.

Couple that with a whole week off of game action and the Bombers (15-6-5-3) now find themselves four points back of Nipawin for second in the Sherwood Division, and 13 back of Melfort who sits in first.

“It’s been a difficult month so far,” said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.  “But I said it before and I’ll say it again, we’re really happy with our team.  We have the right pieces to right this ship going into Christmas.”

Tonight the Bombers will play an Ice Wolves (12-16-2-2) team that has struggled this season to put the puck in the net and a team that haven’t had much success against Flin Flon.  This is the fourth meeting between these Sherwood Division foes, and Flin Flon holds a 3-0 record, outscoring La Ronge 17-5.

This is the start of the four games in five night trip that will continue tomorrow night in Humboldt before finishing up Friday and Saturday in a pair of game against the Battlefords North Stars.

After Saturday’s game in Battlefords, the Bombers will be off for the Christmas break before returning on January 4, when they host the Broncos.
