1994 born defenseman Danys Chartrand picks up weekly SJHL honors.

The SJHL named their Players of the Week for period ending November November 16, 2014 and a member of the Bombers has received one of the honors.

1994 born defenseman Danys Chartrand (Winnipeg, MB) has been named the IBAS SJHL Defenseman of the Week.

Chartrand was instrumental in both Flin Flon victories this past week, starting on Wednesday when the Bombers were able to get the monkey off their backs and defeat the Melfort Mustangs for the first time this season.

Chartrand followed up his excellent defensive play with an assist on Saturday night during the 7-0 beating of the Melville Millionaires.  On the season he has 14 points (1g, 13a) in 18 games, third amongst all SJHL defensemen.

The 6’2, 190 pounder is committed to the University of North Dakota for the 2015-16 season.

Chartrand joins team mates Chris Rauckman (Canalta Player of the Week), Alex Smith (Canalta Player of the Week x2), and Dustin Perillat (SJHL Rookie of the Week) as recipients of SJHL weekly honors.
