Flin Flon adds 1994 born defenseman from the WHL.

The Flin Flon Bombers return to action tonight when they travel to Yorkton to take on the defending RBC Cup champion Terriers, they’ll also have a new face in the lineup.  1994 born defenseman Tyler Bell (Regina, SK) will make his Flin Flon Bomber debut after playing three seasons in the WHL.

“We’re really excited to have Tyler in the lineup,” commented Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.   “Tyler brings that physical presence we like and he has a cannon of a shot from the blueline.”

Bell, who was recently let go by the Lethbridge Hurricanes, played a total of 196 games compiling 38 points (10g, 28a) and 303 penalty minutes split between the Hurricans, Moose Jaw Warriors and Kamloops Blazers.

“He brings experience and leadership to our club and that’s something you can’t have enough of,” said Reagan, noting that Bell served as the assistant captain this past season in Lethbridge.  But it’s his physical play that really stands out.

After tonight the team plays in Melfort before having a week off.
