1997 born defenseman Dustin Perillat gets re-assigned by Moose Jaw, team acquires 1995 born forward Michael Knaub from Melville.

The start of the 2014-15 SJHL season is just over a week away and Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan is making the final touches on the team’s roster.  Just before their last exhibition game tomorrow night, the team will welcome back a familiar face and a new one.

Re-joining the team is 1997 born defenseman Dustin Perillat (Saskatoon, SK) after being re-assigned by the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL.

Perillat appeared in 11 games last season scoring twice and playing some solid defensive hockey.

“I know Dustin is a little disappointed by being re-assigned by Moose Jaw but he’s excited to come back to Flin Flon and he’s going to add a pretty dynamic piece to our team,” commented Reagan.

Perillat was close to making the Warriors this season after being let go late last season as a 16 year old and will be looked to provide more depth on the already deep blueline the Bombers have.

The team is also pleased to announce the acquisition of 1995 born forward Michael Knaub (Morden, MB) from the Melville Millionaires in exchange for 1995 born forward Dalton Menke (Shamrock, SK).

Knaub appeared in 43 games for the Mills last season compiling 14 points (2g, 12a) and 100 penalty minutes.  Knaub brings the type of player that Reagan is looking for.

“Michael definitely fits the mold, he’s big (6’5 – 215 pounds), tough to play against and is physical,” commented Reagan.

Menke came to the club as the first piece in the Brett Boehm trade last December.
