Former Bomber Cam Blair and the red hot Battlefords North Stars visit town for two games starting tonight.

They have only one two of their last 10 games, and are currently on a four game losing streak, and all of this just in time as the league’s hottest team comes to town.  The Flin Flon Bombers will look to snap out of their funk this weekend when they entertain the Battlefords North Stars for a pair of games starting tonight.

Battlefords are currently winners of nine straight and and have soared up the Kramer Division, currently sitting in second, only four back of first place Kindersley.  One reason for the success of the team this season has been the play of goaltender Michael Gudmandson, who sits second in the league in all goaltending categories with a 1.59 goals against average and a 0.953 save percentage.

This will also be the first time former captain Cam Blair will visit the Whitney Forum and play his former team after being traded to the Stars at the trade deadline.  Blair has four points (2g, 2a) in four games with the Stars.

Flin Flon find themselves on the outside looking in right now as far as the playoffs are concerned.  They are three points out of the final playoff spot and are seven back of first place Nipawin in the Sherwood Division race.

It doesn’t get any easier for the club after this weekend’s games; the team hits the road for a four game in five night stretch that starts in Yorkton on Tuesday.
