New look bombers welcomes newly acquired Dalton Menke and the return of captain Cam Blair as they play two games at home this weekend.

Another important weekend series against out of conference opponents are on tap this weekend as the Flin Flon Bombers play their final home games of the 2013 calendar.  Flin Flon finishes up a five game home stand this weekend when they entertain the Kindersley Klippers tonight with the Weyburn Red Wings coming to town tomorrow night.

To say Head Coach and General Manager has had a busy last few weeks is an understatement, and the team look has had a significant change.

OUT: Forwards Conner Bucsis, Tyson Empey and defenseman Brock Hounsell are all out for the weekend, and the rest of 2013, with an illness.  Defenseman Connar Bass was traded to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and also was the team’s leading scorer Brett Boehm who was traded to the Yorkton Terriers on Tuesday.

IN: Newly acquired forward Dalton Menke who was in the Boehm trade will make his Flin Flon Bomber debut tonight.  Also returning to action is Captain Cam Blair, who has been sidelined since November 8th with an injury.

First up this weekend are the Kindersley Klippers.

Kindersley comes in at the start of a three game road swing.  They lost their last game which was on Tuesday against the Melfort Mustangs but won three in a row before that including wins against Estevan and La Ronge.

The team is led offensively by 1994 born forward Colby Daniels, who after being released by the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL, has been on a tear upon his return to Kindersley.  The third year player has 30 points (12g, 18a) in 29 games so far this season.

The team also boasts the offensive talents of Giovanni Bombini, Stefen Seel and Brandon Lauder, who each have over 20 points each, with seven more players each having 10 or more points.

1994 born goaltender Tyrell King carriers the load in goal and sits in the top five in goals against average (2.30) and save percentage (0.924).

Flin Flon does hold the season series lead with two wins in three games, the last one coming in Kindersley when they defeated the Klippers 3-2 on the strength of a 38 save performance by Devin Buffalo.

Tomorrow the Weyburn Red Wings hit the town before the Bombers take to the road for four straight before the Christmas break.
