Flin Flon finishes their two game road swing tonight against the Humboldt Broncos.

It’s the first meeting between the Flin Flon Bombers and thedefending North Division Champion Humboldt Broncos tonight at the Elgar Petersen Arena.  The last time these two teams did meet was on March 29th when the Broncos eliminated the Bombers in a hard fought North Division final.

It’s been a different season for both clubs so far though, the Broncos who went on to be defeated by the Yorkton Terriers in the league final, are sitting in second place in the Kramer Divison, two points back of the first place Kindersley Klippers, but are currently on a four game winning streak, beating Yorkton, Kindersley and Battlefords twice.

The team is spread out in scoring with Ryan Aubertin (7g, 5a) and Dylan Fluter (2g, 10a) leading the way.  Veteran defensemen Logan Sproule and Cody Pettapiece patrol the blue line, with Pettapiece coming off SJHL Defenseman of the Week honors.  They have a platoon in net with a pair of 1995 born goalies, Ryland Pashovitz and Cade Spencer sharing duties and putting up solid numbers.

The Bombers are coming off a 3-0 loss against the Nipawin Hawks last night at the Cage.  Flin Flon went scoreless for the third time in the short SJHL season, and second time in three games.  The team looks to finish the mini road swing with a victory before they take a few days off, nine to be exact, when they return to the Whitney Forum ice for a return matchup against the Broncos.
