Bombers win their second in a row on the road, and third overall, with a 3-1 victory over the Bruins.

Three goals in all three periods with less than one minute left helped the Flin Flon Bombers win their third straight, and second in a row on the road, 3-1 against the Estevan Bruins.

Flin Flon opened the scoring with 27 seconds left in the first as Parker Evans-Campbell tucked one past a sprawling Bruin’s goaltender Matt Gibney.  Danys Chartrand would pick up the only assist on Evans-Campbell’s second of the season.

The score would remain that way until the 16 second mark when Brock Hounsell pounced on a Brett Boehm rebound to make the score 2-0 going into the third period.  Cam Blair also assisted.

Estevan bridged the lead to one five minutes in when Cory Kosloski beat Devin Buffalo for the only goal of the night for the Bruins.  Buffalo made 33 saves to earn first star for the game.

Blair would put things away with an empty netter to solidify the 3-1 win.  Dillan McCombie picks up the lone assist.

Flin Flon now takes today off before returning to the ice to finish up the road trip tomorrow in Weyburn for a return matchup against the Red Wings.  Weyburn was defeated by the Bombers in Flin Flon last Friday night.

ICE CHIPS:  Flin Flon went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Bruins were scoreless on 5 man advantages including a 5 on 3 early in the first period.  ---  Hounsell’s goal in the second, which was the eventual game winner, is the first time a Flin Flon Bomber defenseman has scored this season.  ---  For only the second time in this young season, the Bombers outshot their opponents.
