Flin Flon deals 1994 born goalie Andy Desautels to the BCHL.

Flin Flon Bombers Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan announced that the team has traded 1994 born goaltender Andy Desautels to the West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL in exchange for future considerations.

Desautels (White City, SK) hasn’t spent time in the Bombers net since the 2011-12 season, where he went 10-10-1 with a 3.64 goals against average with a 0.897 save percentage.  Last year his WHL rights were traded from the Everett Silvertips to the Prince Albert Raiders, where he spent all of the year.

With a log jam in the Raiders net, Desautels was coming back to Junior A, and with incumbent Devin Buffalo in the Bombers pipes, it was a no brainer for Reagan to make the deal.

“We feel that Andy has earned the right to be a number one goalie in the CJHL,” said Reagan.  “This gives him the perfect opportunity.”
