The Flin Flon Bombers are pleased to announce that 1992 born forward Riley Storzuk (Wynyard, SK) has committed to Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons NCAA Division III men’s hockey team for the 2013-14 season.
Storzuk played his whole junior career with the Bombers compiling 131 points (46g, 85a) in 153 career games, including 57 points (18g, 39a) in 44 games this past season which had him first on the team and fourth overall in the SJHL.
“We are very happy for Riley,” said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan, “Concordia is getting a gutsy player that played as hard defensively as he did offensively. He never cheated you with his effort.”
This is the second Bomber that is suiting up for the Falcons in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association this coming season. Flin Flon announced earlier that Brett Penner had also committed to the school.
"Riley will be an immediate impact player for us this fall," said CUW Assistant Coach Zach Gaynor, "His leadership, hard work and offensive abbilities will help round out our defensive production."
That now puts five players in total moving on to further their careers through the collegiate path. Earlier in the off season Dylan Balaski (SAIT), Konrad Litke (Augustana) and Jason Wark (NAIT) all committed to schools for the upcoming season.
