The National Hockey League and the NHL Central Scouting released their 2013 mid season draft rankings and as he was in the pre season rankings, the Fin Flon Bombers Brett Boehm is on the list.
After getting a C ranking, which is considered a late round prospect, Boehm is not officially ranked 201 among North American skaters in the mid season rankings.
“Brett is offensively gifted,” said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan, “when he came here his goal was to become an all round player, he’s becoming that.”
Originally Boehm was one of 27 CJHL players in the list, that is now down as there are only 12 CJHL players on the rankings, he is lone SJHLer to make the list.
“His defensive game has come a long way from the beginning of the season,” commented Reagan.
Boehm (10-19-1994, Martensville, SK) currently sits in 14th amongst the SJHL’s scoring leaders and leads all rookies in all offensive categories with 37 points (18g, 19a) in 33 games. He has nine more points than second in the rookies despite playing four fewer games.
Boehm has a scholarship from the University of Minnesota –Duluth for the 2014-15 season.
